Grout NonUniform Blur Quick TipS

Grout NonUniform Blur Quick TipS
Often when blending grout with some brick or tile pattern the Height Blend node or a Max(Lighten) Blend node is used. This creates a result of the grout overlapping more recessed height areas on the pattern shapes. For instance the corners of angled bricks will be sunken beneath grout. While this may be appropriate in some cases, sometimes it's desirable to retain the original brick silhouettes while still having angle/slope variation in the pattern. This method helps achieve such a result and while also generating a grout/pattern mask much like you'd want from the Height Blend node. The method will softly transition between each brick border to the next. This also reduces tearing/stretching at what would be sharp transitions from shape to grout in a Height Blend Node.
