Often when creating Cracks or Grout patterns Edge Detect is used but gives constant thickness to all edges. With this method you can control the thickness of the edges for a more organic feel. The graph will help you set this up but it's up to you how far or subtle you push it with the pattern input, blur, slope blur, and histogram scan amounts.
