This project was inspired by the fantastic game and beautiful art of Gears Tactics Vasgar map.
Materials are 100% Substance Designer, renders are Unreal Engine 5, and material spheres in Marmoset
Modular kit pieces were made to construct all buildings most snapping to 100 grid units.
Building walls are textured via one Trim Sheet, Tiling Roof Materials, and vertex painting material instances of:
- Paint (Blue vertex channel and stripe height parameter)
- Stucco (Default material)
- Brick (Red vertex channel with Damage Stucco transition - parameter to control distance)
- Damage Brick (Green vertex channel)
- Grunge (Alpha vertex channel)
Cloth Shader consists of:
- Opacity Textures (Packed into single RGBA)
- Pattern Textures (Packed into single RGBA)
Controlled via a parameter so you can make different combinations of opacity and pattern along with 2 tint colors.
